About Murphy

Murphy is a goofy, lovable Chesadoodle mix who just turned five. He’s a tall boy—nearly 90 pounds—but you’d swear he thinks he could fit in your lap. Murphy is happiest when he’s near his people, snuggled up, or snoozing in his bed. Pajamas actually help him relax, and his stuffy toys are never far away. Daily walks are important for his energy and well-being, and he handles a leash confidently. He’s crate trained, knows his basics, and has learned to settle into routines, but the big stuff for Murphy is feeling safe and understood. He needs a place without babies or toddlers after some struggles with resource guarding around young children—he does better with adults or older kids. He’s lived with other dogs, but it really depends on the match. Murphy is an anxious guy and takes Prozac daily; he gets a little nervous with change but isn’t overly fearful. He’s in good health and is just looking for someone who’ll let him be part of the family. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
