AvailableAbout Gypsy
Gypsy: professional cuddler, toy annihilator, and aspiring lap dog trapped in a 46-pound body This 2-year-old Pit Bull Terrier mix has one love language, and it's physical contact with you at all times. Couch? She's on it. Bed? She's on it. You? She's on you. Think of her less as a pet and more as a very cute, very determined barnacle. A sweet barnacle. The sweetest, actually. The Highlights Reel: She's basically already trained. Sit? Done. Paw? Obviously. Lay down? She's basically a yoga instructor. She walks into her crate for a treat like a professional, sleeps through the night without complaint, and is fully potty trained. She's honestly got it more together than some people we know. She's a social butterfly β with manners. Gypsy gets along great with the other dogs in her foster home. And when she needs a little personal space? She communicates like an adult and gives a polite little growl that says "I love you, but please respect my boundaries." Honestly, goals. She's a toy enthusiast and a toy assassin. She loves her toys deeply, passionately, and briefly β because destruction is just another form of love in Gypsy's world. Squeaky toys, beware. She's tiny but mighty. A few things to know: Gypsy eats her meals in her crate β she gets a little growly around food, and we keep things peaceful by giving her her own dining room. Easy fix, zero drama. She's still working on her jumping-on-people habit because she's just so excited to see you and has not yet mastered playing it cool. We're working on it. She'll get there. She also does a little stress spin here and there β just a few minutes β but she's already doing way better than when she first arrived at her foster home. She's healing, she's growing, and she just needs her person to help her feel safe. The Bottom Line: Gypsy is smart, playful, affectionate, and ready to be someone's whole world. She will sit on you. She will learn from you. She will demolish your squeaky toys for you. She will love you with her entire being. All she needs is a home, a lap, and someone who's okay with never sitting alone again. Could that be you? Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
