Introducing sisters Taffy (butter cream colored) and Toffee (caramel colored) -the most adorable and lovable 12-14 week old Retriever mix puppies! Found in the middle of a torrential rain storm south of Dallas, at an access point along the main Dallas-to-Houston interstate, a concerned driver stopped to save them. He reached out to local rescue resources, who in turn, asked if Big Dog Rescue Project for help. We said “YES” and here we are, hoping to find these good girls families of their own. Both are very social and friendly, playful, as puppies tend to be, but have gentle temperaments. They get along well with other dogs. They have also been introduced to both cats and goats, and while curious, show no overt prey drive. They are already doing well on the leash, enjoy car rides, and have had no accidents indoors so far! Like all puppies, they will need continued supervision as they mature and in their crate training. They are likely to weigh 55-70 lbs. when full grown. Taffy is the larger of the two currently weighing 25 lbs. and Toffee weighing 20 lbs.
