About Derrick

Derrick is a small black Chihuahua around 2 years old who was rescued after being found alone in the countryside. He’s still a bit shy with strangers, but each day he gains confidence and you can see his sweet nature come through more and more. Derrick enjoys playful moments, especially with toys and Nyla bones, and gets along well with other dogs. He’s got great house manners—no chewing or destructive habits—and appears to be crate trained. Potty training is a work in progress, but he’s nearly there. Once comfortable, Derrick is learning the joys of cuddling and being close to people. He has a gentle temperament, although car rides sometimes cause him mild tummy upset. Derrick comes with full age-appropriate vaccinations, is neutered, microchipped, and will have a health check before adoption. He’s a good fit for someone patient and kind who can help him continue building trust. Give them the home they have been waiting for. Apply today.
