About Couture

Couture is a 3-year-old German Shepherd with a soft black coat accented by caramel touches along her tummy, legs, and tail. She’s been overwhelmed by the shelter’s noise, but despite her nerves, she tries hard to be brave. Couture is searching for a patient, experienced adopter—someone willing to move at her pace, let her decompress, and build trust together. Once she’s settled, her smart and loving personality starts to shine. She can be shy and a little nervous about other dogs at first, but she warms up quickly and has enjoyed playing with other pups. For a confident dog already in the home, Couture could make a wonderful companion. She’s gentle, affectionate, and has an easy warmth once she feels safe. Couture is also quite clever, walks well on leash, and is eager to learn—her ā€œsitā€ is already solid. With a little time and encouragement, she’ll continue picking up new skills quickly. Couture came to the Baldwin Park shelter as a stray and, while she doesn’t always show her best self in the kennel, in a calm environment she blossoms. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
