When she first came in, the world felt pretty scary to her, but with patience, kindness, and plenty of tasty treats, her adorable personality has started to shine through. Once she feels comfortable, Kiya turns into a wiggly, goofy little pup with the cutest booty wiggles and a playful charm that’s impossible not to love. Kiya is still learning that new people and situations can be safe, and she can be a bit hesitant at first. She’s especially sensitive with handling and can be head shy when it comes to harnessing, but she has shown wonderful progress when given gentle encouragement and positive reinforcement. Because of her sensitive nature, Kiya would do best in a home with patient adopters who understand that trust takes time. We are recommending any children in the home be older (12+) and respectful of her space and boundaries while she continues to grow in confidence.
