About Annie

Meet Annie 12.5 years old 55 lbs Pudelpointer Annie is a beautiful senior girl with a rich reddish coat, soulful eyes, and the kind of quiet dignity that comes from being deeply loved her whole life. After the passing of her elderly owner, Annie is now searching for a new home to spend her golden years surrounded by kindness, stability, and room to roam. At 12.5 years old, Annie is still active, healthy, and full of spirit. She is spayed, house trained, heartworm negative, and knows her basic commands well. She loves to run and would thrive in a home with land or a large yard where she can stretch her legs and enjoy the outdoors. Annie is very sweet with people and friendly to strangers. She has a confident, alpha-type personality with other animals and can be protective of her home when it comes to unfamiliar dogs, though she generally does well with dogs who are confident and respectful. She has also lived around cats that stand up for themselves. As a true sporting breed, Annie has a strong prey drive and will chase wildlife, so a secure environment is important for her safety. For more on this, or for additional information, including the adoption process and our adoption fee scale for all our adoptable pets (including an explanation about Benefactor Dogs), please see our FAQs page: https://www.takepawsrescue.org/faq Any breed labels used by Take Paws Rescue, its employees/volunteers, or on vet records provided cannot be guaranteed. Labels are necessary for postings to many animal networking sites, such as our website, Chewy, Pet Finder, and others. These are in no way a guarantee.
