About Jesse

Jesse and his companion Tommy arrived together after being left behind in the neighborhood, and they’ve stuck together like brothers since. Jesse started out as the shyer of the two—he would watch from a distance, slowly warming up, but soon began greeting the door at mealtime and rubbing against legs. Both cats are young, likely under two years old, and display the easy friendship of bonded siblings: they play, sleep, and eat together with no squabbles. Their gentle manner extends to other cats, as they have gotten along well with a resident neighbor cat and show no aggression. Jesse is currently an indoor kitty, adapting well to house life, though he’s still learning to fully trust when being held. He does enjoy head rubs and will allow kisses. Patience and steady time around people should help Jesse gain more confidence. He’s already neutered, vaccinated, FIV negative, house trained, and microchipped. Their foster is hoping these two can stay together since they’re closely bonded. All supplies are included, and an adopter willing to give Jesse some extra time to settle in will be rewarded with a loyal companion. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!

Questions about Jesse

Jesse does not require outdoor space to thrive; domestic short hair cats like him do well indoors. A window perch or some interactive toys are enough to keep him happy.

  • Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?

Domestic short hair/tabby mixes like Jesse are generally fine with respectful children, especially if introduced slowly. Given Jesse’s initial shyness, calm and gentle kids would be best.
