About Abby

Meet Abby, the resident squeaky ball fanatic with a knack for cozying up to her favorite people once she feels safe. At 6 years old, Abby—a 15lb Chihuahua mix—has been through a lot lately after losing the loving home she knew for over five years. With changing caretakers and the loss of her owner, Abby is searching for stability and a gentle fresh start. She’s looking for a patient adopter who respects her deliberate approach to trust and isn’t in a rush. Abby doesn’t hand out loyalty easily, but once she’s comfortable, her playful and silly side shines. Walks around the block are a must, as is a good stash of squeaky balls (she’s obsessed). She has excellent house manners—Abby sleeps quietly in her dog bed, makes good use of potty pads, and is content hanging out beside you without demanding constant attention. Butt scratches are highly encouraged. Abby does well with other dogs but would also be perfectly happy as the center of your universe. She’s independent, affectionate in her own way, and thrives with routine. A quieter, single-level home without small children suits her best—she can manage stairs, but she’s got her quirks. If you’re open to Abby’s unique rhythm and ready for a sweet, quirky companion, she’s ready to bring some joy and a little snaggletooth charm into your home. Ready to fall in love?
