Some friendships are just meant to happen. 🖤🤍 Spud came into our shelter first. This precious little boy is deaf, and the shelter environment was overwhelming for him. All he really did was sleep. He was quiet, withdrawn, and trying to figure out a world he couldn't hear. Then Shadow arrived. From the very beginning, these two became inseparable. The fastest friends we've ever seen. Somehow, Shadow seemed to understand exactly what Spud needed. He became Spud's confidence, his comfort, and in so many ways... his ears. Since becoming buddies, Spud has started coming out of his shell more and more every day. They play together, sleep together, and look for each other constantly. Watching their bond form in the middle of a noisy shelter has honestly been one of the most magical things we've seen here. They are both still just babies at around 10 weeks old, with their whole lives ahead of them. Sweet, gentle, playful little souls who found comfort in each other when they needed it most. We would absolutely love to see these best friends find a home together if the perfect family is out there. 🐾 Meet Spud & Shadow.
