Meet Sky! This sweet older lady enjoys the simple pleasures of senior life. She is an independent couch potato who loves to stick close to her person. She enjoys affection from the people she is closest to, and prefers to hide when visitors comes to the house. Despite her age, she is still quite active and playful and even catches the occasional mouse! She has lived with children and did not enjoy the company of young children, however she may do well with older children who respect her boundaries. Sky has lived with cats in the past and would prefer quieter, older cats who don't have much interest in rough housing. She has also lived with a dog who made her nervous and she would likely prefer a home without a dog. Ready To Adopt? You have two options: #1- VISIT IN PERSON Come during our open adoption hours: Tuesday - Saturday,12:30 - 3:00pm. You'll be able to meet available cats in the shelter. (Cats in foster care are not available for in-person visits.) #2- ADOPT REMOTELY OR PLACE A 24-HOUR HOLD** If you're ready to adopt without meeting the cat first, or you'd like to place a non-refundable $25 hold to reserve a cat for 24 hours, just call or email us: (413) 781-4000 x 1 springfield@dakinhumane.org. We are often helping other clients when you call, but we return voicemails and emails within 24 hours. **Holds are not available on Saturdays and during adoption events. -------------------------------------------- All cat adoption fees include; -spay/neuter -rabies vaccine -current distemper vaccines (may need additional boosters with your veterinarian) -FeLV/FIV blood test -microchip implanted & registered to the adopter -treatment of fleas/ticks/ear mites -veterinary exam and health certificate at Dakin -free vet exam within 30 days after adoption with participating veterinarians Most pets have also received other medical care while with us.
