About Ozzy

Ozzy is a Staffie/Boxer mix pup who brings a lot of goofy energy. At seven months old, he's already a sturdy, agile youngster with the makings of a large, athletic adult. He’s in that playful, rough-and-tumble phase—romping, learning, and building muscle. He stands out at Desert Haven for being easygoing with his dog roommates: he shares food, toys, and nap spaces without a fuss, and genuinely thrives on canine company. If you have another dog, Ozzy would likely fit right into the pack. He’s a Nervous Ned at heart—new things and unfamiliar people can unsettle him—but with each positive experience, he becomes braver. Street life gave him a cautious streak, but volunteers, hot dogs, and his dog buddies have helped him come a long way. Leash walks with friends and playtimes at “Playland” have become highlights for him, and he’s even warming up to meeting new folks. Ozzy would do best with a patient family who can continue giving him gentle guidance, preferably with at least one other confident dog. He gets along with dogs, cats, and children, and is house trained. He is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations. Ozzy is in Williamsburg, NM and ready to find his new family.
