About Ozzy
Ozzy came into his foster home anxious, panting, and drinking constantly—his untreated diabetes made those first weeks rough. With twice-daily insulin and a careful diet, Ozzy’s health took a sharp turn for the better: he dropped a few pounds and his blood sugar is now in a healthy range. He recently had a dental and, despite some teeth being pulled, he's now in good shape. Ozzy is around seven and embodies the Corgi spirit: smart, eager to please, and a little bit vocal. He knows sit, stay, back, and lay down, and listens closely—especially if you’re chatting with him. He’s quick to roll over for belly rubs and loves his toys, especially bison horns or antlers. Ozzy does well with other dogs (after slow introductions) and really thrives playing chase and wrestling with his foster brother. He warms up to new canine friends in his own time, setting clear boundaries when he’s tired. He’s been to dog parks, managed boarding stays, and does well after the initial anxiety fades. While he walks well solo, he can be reactive to other dogs on leash if walking with a group, but responds well to gentle redirection. He takes treats gently and shows a playful side by catching them mid-air. His resource guarding has been managed with simple, separate feeding and monitored toy use. He enjoys cuddling with his foster siblings and sometimes cleans their ears. Ozzy would probably shine in a home with another dog his size to play with, but he’d also do well as a solo pup—as long as outdoor playtime is on the agenda. He gets along with dogs and cats, prefers thoughtful introductions, and is already house trained. His adoption fee is $250, and he’s fully vetted, neutered, and vaccinated. Ready to fall in love?
