Tuesday Update: We cat tested all 3 of these goofballs individually this morning, and all 3 passed the test! They were honestly more scared of the cat and pretty uninterested after it hissed at them. 😂 Now with that said, we always recommend slow introductions when bringing a new dog into a home with cats. How a dog reacts indoors with a cat can be completely different from how they react to a cat running through the yard outside. We also always recommend supervised interactions until everyone is completely comfortable. But we will say, we were very impressed with their behavior and reactions to the cat while on leash — especially since the cat was not in a cage during the meet and greet. Meet the Three Musketeers: Aries, Hercules, and Hermes 💙 Out of the six dogs that came to us through a seizure case and are now available for adoption, we’ve already introduced you to Zeus and Lilo. Today, we’re highlighting these three handsome brothers! Aries, Hercules, and Hermes are 2½-year-old Chesapeake Bay Retriever/Hound mixes, and they are truly wonderful dogs. These goofy, loving boys have been an absolute joy to have at the shelter. They adore people, love playing with tennis balls and stuffed toys, and are always ready for fun. When playtime is over, they’re just as happy relaxing beside you and soaking up affection. Since arriving at the shelter, they have mastered walking on leash and are thoroughly enjoying their walks with volunteers. They get along well with other dogs, though as always, a meet and greet is required. They have not yet been cat tested. The boys are not neutered yet, but they are already scheduled for their neuter appointments. We will do our best to place their names under each individual photo so everyone can tell who is who, though we admit these handsome brothers do look quite a bit alike at first glance. 😊 While we hate the idea of separating these brothers, we know that allowing them to be adopted individually gives each of them the best possible chance at finding the loving forever home they deserve. If you’re looking for a sweet, silly, loyal family dog who would love to play ball and then curl up at home with you, you would be lucky to have any one of these boys in your life. You truly must come meet them in person to appreciate just how beautiful and special they are. 🐾
