About Bubba and Zoey
Bubba and Zoey are a bonded pair of Shih Tzu/Dachshund mixes living with a foster in Lansing, MI. Both are about 9 and a half years old but don't fit the stereotype of slow seniors. They're easygoing, quiet (except when they're reminding you it's time to eat), and friendly with other dogs. They're reliably housetrained and rarely shed, though they're probably not best for people with severe dog allergies. Car rides are a highlight for them—they sit calmly in the back, minding their manners. Zoey is partial to soft, squeaky toys, while Bubba shows little interest in toys in general. Both dogs enjoy spending real time outdoors in nearly any weather except heavy rain or thunderstorms (Bubba’s not a fan of the thunder). A fenced yard would be great since they genuinely love outdoor time. Zoey often stakes out the bed but jumps down to check on Bubba if he's on the floor. Bubba has a habit of circling with excitement, especially if Zoey isn't close by. Although they don’t nap together, they always keep each other in sight. Zoey seeks out belly rubs and attention, while Bubba likes to supervise and loves a good neck or chin rub. They’re gentle, pleasant, and low-maintenance for adopters looking for a sweet pair.
