About Bubba And Zoey

Fostered in Holland, MI Breed: Shih tzu/Dachshund mix DOB: Nov 2016 Sex: Male and female Weight: 20 pounds Bubba and Zoey are almost 9 1/2 years young.  They do not act like old dogs although they definitely do not act like puppies either.  They are an easy pair to live with as they are usually quiet (they both will bark when it is close to meal time), get along great with other dogs and are housetrained.  If they shed, it isn't much but I would not guarantee they are candidates for people who have allergies to dog dander. Both of them love to go visiting especially because they get to go for a ride in a car -- very fun!  They sit quietly in the back seat and are very polite to not disturb the driver. Bubba does not have much interest in toys but Zoey loves them, especially the soft ones that squeak. They also really enjoy being outside in most any kind of weather -- except during heavy rain.  Bubba gets a little concerned if it is thundering and refuses to go outside during all that noise.  But even if it is really hot or cold, they tend to want to spend more time than most other dogs outside so a fenced yard for them would be nice. Zoey prefers to sleep on the human's bed most of the night but if Bubba didn't ask to get lifted up and is on the floor in a doggie bed, she often jumps down to check on him. Since he was a puppy, Bubba will circle and spin if he gets excited or if he can't find Zoey.  They don't nap together but they are never too far from each other. Zoey loves to be petted and to have her belly rubbed.  She sometimes come to you looking for attention.  Bubba likes to pay attention to where you are and sometimes stands in front of you -- apparently he loves to have his neck and chin rubbed more than petting or belly rubbing.
