I’m Stormy. Fast Feet, Soft Heart, and Learning That the World Isn’t So Scary. I was born on October 14, 2022, and I’m a black Labrador Retriever with the prettiest brown eyes and a personality that slowly sneaks up on you in the best way. I’m about 41 pounds, spayed, fully vaccinated including rabies, housebroken, and officially ready to find my forever home. I’ll be honest with you. I can be a little shy at first. New places and unfamiliar people make me stop and think for a moment before jumping in. But underneath that cautious start is an incredibly sweet, happy girl who wants so badly to trust and love fully. Once I realize I’m safe, everything changes. Then suddenly? I’m pure joy. I LOVE to run. I love toys, zoomies, snacks, other dogs, and basically anything that lets me move and have fun. If there’s a yard involved, even better. My tail starts wagging at full speed, my goofy side comes out immediately, and I become the kind of dog who makes people laugh without even trying. I’m wonderful with other dogs and would probably thrive with a playful canine friend. I do well with people and kids too. I haven’t been around cats yet, so my rescue isn’t sure how I’d feel about them, but I’m friendly, playful, and not rough or overbearing. After my energy is out, I settle nicely inside and know how to relax at home with my people. What I need most is someone patient and kind. Someone who understands that confidence can take a minute, but also understands how rewarding it is watching a shy dog blossom into her full personality. I don’t need perfection. I just need someone willing to let me warm up at my own pace and love me through it. If you’re looking for a dog who will fill your home with life, laughter, movement, and love, I think we’d make a pretty great team. I’m Stormy. A little cautious at first.
