About Rufus Rocks
Meet Rufus Rocks, a 1–2 year-old Cockapoo/Shih Tzu mix with a wild history and even wilder spirit. Found as a scruffy stray in Texas, Rufus has gone from tangled fur and street life to a cleaned-up, confident, and loving companion. Now he’s a joyful, clever, and affectionate dog with plenty of personality—he’s soft, fluffy, and has the perfect “pick-me-up” size at about 22 pounds. Rufus is the fun kind of chaos: crate trained, house trained if kept on schedule, great on leash, smart, and eager to learn. He knows “Sit,” comes when called, and lives for belly rubs. He’s highly social, truly loves other dogs, and is always up for a play session. Rufus would do best in a home with another friendly and playful dog or with active humans who love his enthusiasm. Because he’s still learning manners and can be a bit exuberant, he’s best suited for homes without kids under 12. Neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and current on vaccines, Rufus is ready for his next chapter. He’s a dog who looks at his people as if they’re his entire world—maybe they could be yours too. He needs an adopter who’ll give him the time and patience to settle in and who can appreciate everything he has to offer. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
