About Max & Milo

Max & Milo are tightly bonded brothers who’ve faced their share of rough days but have come through with gentle hearts. They landed in rescue when their original owner had to surrender them. Early on, these American Shorthair boys were used to being alone and didn’t always expect humans to be kind, but they’ve adapted impressively. They’re currently thriving with a family and two young boys, taking comfort in the realization that people mean safety and warmth. Milo is a bit more cautious and still figuring things out, but he’s learned to approach for comfort and attention. Max leans into affection—he’s the first to ask for belly rubs and likes to snuggle up at night. Both have become far more outgoing with time and patience. They may still occasionally hiss at dogs if startled, but with time, their self-assurance continues to grow. Max & Milo are looking for adopters who understand that some journeys take time, and who are ready to appreciate just how rewarding that trust can be. They get along well with children and would do best with a family willing to move at their pace. Click apply to start the adoption process.
