About Eloise

Eloise came to rescue in rough shape after being picked up as a stray in Houston, Texas. Badly matted fur had caused severe injury to her leg, resulting in an emergency amputation and follow-up orthopedic surgery. Now groomed for the first time in a long while, she's showing how pretty she truly is, with a DNA mix of Schnauzer, Shih Tzu, and several other breeds. Eloise is independent by nature and favors her crate as a personal spot where she relaxes and eats. She’ll tolerate other dogs so long as they give her space, curling up with one she likes but quick to let them know when it’s too much. People, though, she loves attention from and seeks out affection freely. She appears house and leash trained. Eloise is about 2 years old and weighs around 11 lbs. She’s likely best suited to a home as a single dog, or maybe with a mellow companion, and her adopters must be experienced dog owners. No homes with children under 10 for her. Eloise is spayed and up to date on vaccinations. Transport to adopters is available. Click apply to start the adoption process.
