About Betty Boop

Betty Boop is a 2-year-old spayed female Peek-a-Pom, weighing in at about 16 lbs. She’s a snuggler through and through, wanting nothing more than to curl up with you on the couch or nuzzle in your lap. Walks are high on her list, but TV time with her person is just as important. Betty thrives with canine companions and would do best in a home that already has another dog. She’s not a fan of cats and will chase them, so cat-free homes are a must. Betty comes from a rough background, rescued from a hoarding situation with over 30 dogs. She’s only just starting to discover a normal life. She has no formal training, but is learning to walk well on a leash and tolerates car rides, though she can be a bit nervous. Crate training and housebreaking are in progress. She’d do best with someone who’s home most of the time—Betty gets anxious when left alone for long periods. She’s gentle with kind, supervised children but absolutely needs an experienced adopter who can teach her the basics from scratch. Expect a loyal, loving addition to your family who just needs a patient start. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
