About Abby

Abby has been through a lot. She was surrendered once for medical reasons and needed complex surgery to repair a prolapsed rectum, but thanks to Critter Crusaders she’s fully recovered. After five years with a family, she found herself returned but not for anything she did—Abby just got caught up in life’s changes. She’s genuinely sweet, and if you talk to her in a gentle voice or with baby talk, she’ll roll onto her back and ham it up. Abby gets along well with other cats and children, which makes her a flexible fit for a variety of homes. She’s strictly an indoor cat unless approved for a barn program. Home visits are required, and the team will only consider adopters within about a 45-minute radius of Cedar Rapids, IA—no out-of-state adoptions. Abby is currently at the Cedar Rapids adoption center, open by appointment only. Give them the home they have been waiting for. Apply today.
