About Drake
Drake came to the shelter in rough shape, skinny and with open sores, but has bounced back and is now healthy, confident, and playful. Heās an American Bulldog around 1-2 years old with a beautiful copper coat, lots of jowls, and a big, talkative personality. Youāll notice his love for chew bonesāheāll happily follow you (or a food bowl) anywhere, and heās quick to let you know heād like your attention by chattering and whining. Drake enjoys running and really shines in a big exercise yard; he pulls a bit on leash but just needs some room to burn off energy. Heās friendly, sweet, and smart, doing well with other dogs and all people, but he does not get along with cats or small animals. Shelter staff describe him as active, humble, and well-suited for a family experienced with strong, energetic young dogsāespecially families with older children, as his bouncy play style can be a bit much for little ones. After heās had his chance to run, Drake settles down and loves to stay close for companionship. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
