Ramona is a medium-sized, long-haired, brown and gray tabby female. She is one year old, spayed, house trained, and up to date on vaccinations. Currently, she is in Fort Oglethorpe, GA. As a Taurus (born May 1), she's likely to be steady and gentle once comfortable.

About Ramona

Ramona arrived after a tough start, originally trapped, spayed, and facing an unsafe outdoor environment. Despite being considered feral at first, she has shown real progress since joining foster care. The first week, Ramona kept to herself and needed time to decompress. Gradually, she's opened up, now enjoying gentle pets and chin rubs, especially when Churu treats are involved. She remains shy but trusts her foster more every day and looks to the resident cat, Jessi, for cues and confidence. Ramona needs a foster-to-adopt home with an experienced, cat-savvy adopter who understands shy cats and is committed to building trust at her pace. She prefers a calm environment with other gentle cats but is not suitable for a home with children. Her journey from fearful to friendly is ongoing, and she’s ready for someone patient who will help her settle in for good. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?

Questions about Ramona

Ramona, a Domestic Long Hair cat, will do best in a quiet home where she can adjust at her own pace. Domestic Long Hairs are adaptable but thrive in environments with gentle routines and patient people.

  • How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?

Domestic Long Hair cats like Ramona are usually happiest as indoor cats and do not require outdoor space. Access to windows or secure catios is a bonus, but not necessary.

  • Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?

Ramona is not currently suitable for homes with children, as she needs a calm environment and is still working on her confidence. Domestic Long Hairs can get along with older, respectful children, but Ramona needs an adult-only home right now.
