About Bruiser
Bruiser is a mellow, affectionate mixed-breed dog who recently lost his longtime family and is now looking for a new place to call home. He came from a house with a big yard and now keeps a steady, gentle presence in his foster’s quieter setup. Bruiser appreciates the simple pleasures—a soft bed, the warmth of sunlight, or watching the rain from a safe porch. While he has playful spark left, carving out relaxed moments with people is his absolute favorite. This calm senior enjoys lounging outside, basking for hours in the sun or strolling through a drizzle. He currently lives with another dog and tolerates her well, but he hasn’t mingled with new dogs and isn’t cat friendly. He hasn’t lived with children. Bruiser feels most comfortable as an only dog in a low-key household—ideally, somewhere peaceful where he can unwind and attach to his person. He’s learning commands quickly thanks to his sharp mind and food drive and takes leash walks in stride. Sturdy chew toys are a hit, and he hasn’t been destructive in the house. When left alone during the workday, Bruiser quietly naps. He takes to his crate calmly, even overnight, making him easy to manage. Bruiser values routine, soft places to nap, and plenty of gentle companionship. Born September 15, he’s a Virgo—known for their steadiness and loyalty—and those traits shine through. If you’re looking for a chill, steadfast companion, Bruiser is ready to bring his sweet, grounding presence to your home. Your new best friend is just one click away.
