About Fred

Meet Fred, a shepherd mix who made his way from balmy Arkansas to his fresh start in Minnesota. He brings the sharp looks of a shepherd in a surprisingly compact package, weighing just under 50 lbs—a sturdy but easy-to-handle size. Fred stands out for his good manners at home: he’s fully house trained, does great in his crate, and walks next to you without tugging on the leash. Fred’s personality is pure gold. He gets along with dogs, cats, and kids—truly the rare all-rounder. He rides well in the car and loves being your co-pilot, whether it's for a quick trip or a weekend road trip. This guy already knows how to sit and shake, and he picks up on new routines quickly. Fred does whine a little when first kenneled, but he settles down once he knows he's safe. Having recently completed heartworm treatment, Fred just needs to stay on regular heartworm preventative as part of his routine care. In return, you’ll get a loyal friend who settles right into family life and offers true companionship, snuggles included. He’s ready to find that forever home where he can put down roots. Adoption fee includes all the basics, from exam and neuter to vaccines and microchip. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
