About Lou

Lou is a black and white Lab mix with a gentle, easygoing spirit. At just six months old, he’s already showing the world what it means to be a sweetheart—curious, affectionate, and calm. Even as a playful puppy, Lou moves at his own mellow pace, often happy to quietly explore the yard or simply hang by your side, soaking up every bit of attention and love. This young dog has started his first round of vaccines, is dewormed, and is on flea and tick prevention. He tests heartworm negative and is happy to greet both new people and friendly pets alike. Lou isn’t house trained yet, so he’ll need a family willing to guide him through puppy basics, but his personality is centered around wanting to please and connect with people. Lou just wants a soft bed, plenty of love, and a family to grow up with. He’s looking for someone who can teach him about forever and help him discover the world outside the shelter. Your new best friend is just one click away.
