About Honey
Honey is a 4-year-old domestic shorthair (also known as “Kitty”) who’s navigated a complicated past. She came from a hoarding situation, spent time in an overcrowded out-of-county shelter, then bounced through foster care, a pet store, adoption, and a return. Despite her resilience, what really stands out are her playful bursts—zoomies that leave her dashing around the house, chasing toys, and sometimes getting a little too rambunctious for smaller kids. She enjoys carrying little mouse toys and loves presenting them to her human with a cheerful meow. At nap time, you’ll find her stretched out in a sunny window or commandeering an office chair. She has a quirky habit of sticking her tongue out, and her food motivation means meal times always get her attention. Honey is FIV positive, but this shouldn’t stop her from enjoying a full, happy life. She seems open to another feline companion, given her past living with other cats, but has not lived with any since February. Because rough play can be overwhelming for young children, she needs a home with adults or older kids who will understand her energetic spirit and give her plenty of attention. Honey is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and receives regular flea prevention. She is still in her current home and not at the adoption center, so reach out to arrange a meet-and-greet.
