About Gretchen
Gretchen escaped a tough fate and now soaks up every bit of safety and affection she can find. At about 2 years old, this mixed Siberian Husky is easygoing around the house and has a calm energy that fills her space with a gentle presence. While she generally prefers lounging alongside her person, she perks up with bursts of playful zoomies in the yard, especially when toys are involved. She’s house trained, not destructive, and is rapidly regaining her healthy weight since leaving the shelter. Mornings bring her favorite walk, where she stops to sniff and watch the world but never pulls or barks. After breakfast and a bit of play, Gretchen tends to follow her person from room to room, always wanting to be close. She curls up wherever you settle—in an office, on the sofa, wherever you are. Nights are peaceful and uninterrupted, and her love for squeaky toys, chew bones, and salmon skin treats keeps her happy. Gretchen gets along well with other dogs and children. She’s adjusted beautifully to her foster home and will bring a sense of calm to any household. Let’s make it official, apply to adopt!
