About Bucky

Meet Bucky, formerly known as Cranberry โ€” an almost 8-month-old Mini Goldendoodle weighing around 16 pounds with a heart full of love and a goofy personality that will keep you smiling every day. Bucky was originally adopted through our rescue at just 9 weeks old. While we truly hoped it would be his forever home, life had other plans, and he is now back in our care searching for the family he was always meant to have. Since returning, Bucky has continued to show us what an affectionate, loyal, and fun-loving boy he is. Bucky is the definition of a companion dog. He wants to be involved in everything you do and absolutely loves being around his people. His foster family has been spoiling him with adventures โ€” whether itโ€™s trips to the mall, car rides, walks at the park, or simply hanging out together at home. He would thrive with a family that is home most of the time and can give him the attention, companionship, and love he craves. This sweet boy is potty trained, knows a few commands, and is an excellent walking partner. Bucky walks very well on a leash and truly enjoys his daily walks and outdoor adventures. He currently enjoys about four walks a day but also has no problem going potty in the yard. He loves toys, cuddles, and spending time with his best friend Bailey, a Black Lab he adores. Because Bucky is a Mini Goldendoodle, his coat does require regular grooming and maintenance. When he was surrendered back to us, his fur was unfortunately very matted, so it is extremely important to us that his future family understands the commitment of maintaining his grooming needs with regular brushing and professional grooming appointments to keep him healthy and comfortable. Bucky is not crate trained and can become quite the big baby when it comes to being crated. However, he happily sleeps through the night in his dog bed beside his foster familyโ€™s bed. Every now and then he may try to sneak into your bed and win you over with his adorable puppy eyes, but most nights he settles comfortably into his own space. He also makes sure to go to the bathroom first thing in the morning. Bucky is currently up to date on all vaccines, dewormed, microchipped, and will be neutered soon as we coordinate availability with our veterinary team. We are taking our time to ensure Buckyโ€™s next home truly will be his forever home. He deserves a family that will include him in lifeโ€™s adventures, continue giving him structure and love, and cherish the incredible dog he is becoming.
