About Everly
Everly is the sort of dog people hope for: calm, loyal, and easy to live with. She moves through the house quietly, content to stay close, always happiest when she can follow her person from room to room. Her energy level is steady and mellow, leaning to the low side, making her an excellent companion for someone who wants the company of a dog without constant commotion. Life on the streets in Tennessee left Everly with some nerves—loud vehicles especially—but in a quiet neighborhood, you’d never guess her past. She’s well-mannered, house and crate trained, and doesn’t pull on the leash. With other dogs and cats, she’s appropriate and easy, ignoring felines entirely and getting along smoothly with her canine foster siblings. Everly has also done well with children aged seven and older. Her gentle, affectionate personality shines through in the way she settles near her foster mom, loyal to the core without being needy. She's spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, and currently undergoing treatment for heartworm (with all treatment costs covered by the rescue). Everly’s the kind of companion who just wants someone to love and a place to call home. Your new best friend is just one click away.

Questions about Everly
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Shepherd/Retriever mixes like Everly generally do best in homes where they get regular human interaction and a balance of indoor comfort and outdoor activity. A quieter area suits Everly especially well given her sensitivity to loud sounds.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Everly, as a large Shepherd/Retriever mix, appreciates a yard or regular walks, but due to her mellow energy she doesn't require constant activity. Daily strolls in peaceful surroundings would be ideal for her.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Shepherd/Retriever mixes usually do very well with children, especially when the kids are taught how to interact with dogs. Everly has done well with children over 7, making her a good choice for families.
