About Brownie
Brownie is an 8-year-old Bulldog/Pit mix with a huge, loving heart. He’s bounced back remarkably from a rough start in life, showing a cheerful spirit and a bottomless supply of affection for his people. Despite spinal spondylosis, Brownie moves with real enthusiasm, still gets bursts of zoomies, and bounds up stairs when he’s excited. His underbite, complete with little teeth on display, makes him instantly endearing. This dog is a world-class snuggler who thrives on belly rubs and cozy companionship, happily joining his humans on the couch or curled up in bed. Brownie loves going for walks, car rides, and even doesn’t mind bath time. Around children, he’s especially gentle and has done great living with young kids in his foster home. Brownie is housetrained, though he might mark at first until he settles. He has some skin allergies treated with Cytopoint, but no food restrictions or serious physical limitations outside of occasional stiffness after rest. Vet paperwork, including his negative test for degenerative myelopathy, will be shared with his adopters. He’s good with most dogs (and best pals with a foster puppy), but he does not get along with cats. Thunderstorms can make him anxious, so he needs a family willing to reassure him when the weather gets wild. Resilient, happy, and affectionate—Brownie is ready for a family who’ll appreciate his quirky smile and give him the security he’s always deserved. He’s waiting for someone to offer him that safe, loving home. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
