About Oatley
Meet Oatley, a 3–4 month old puppy who’s already defied the odds. Pulled from the San Bernardino shelter’s euthanasia list as a tiny pup, Oatley is the sole survivor of his litter. Despite a rough start, he’s bursting with infectious puppy energy and a gentle spirit. Oatley is about 16 lbs now and will likely be a large mixed breed dog, showing traits of both Boxer and American Staffordshire Terrier. His coat is short with a mix of sable, beige, and tricolor markings. He’s affectionate, playful, curious, and wants to be around people. Oatley loves toys, exploring outdoors, and enjoys every cuddle he can get. Like any puppy, he’s still learning the ropes—potty training is in progress and puppy manners are a work in progress, so patience and consistency will be key. Oatley gets along with other dogs and children, and thrives on social connection. He isn’t neutered yet due to his age, but that will be handled by the rescue as he matures. A family ready for long walks, plenty of play, and the slow work of puppyhood will help Oatley continue to grow into a great dog. Only Southern California residents are eligible for foster-to-adopt.
