About Mary
Mary’s story captures the quieter tragedies that happen all too often in rescue. Back in May 2024, she turned up as a young stray at the doorstep of a senior who made a home for every cat in need. At just 6 months old, Mary discovered real comfort—good food, steady love, and true belonging. But now, still just 2.5 years old, she’s lost her person and her home again after her guardian passed away, along with several cherished cat companions also seeking refuge. Mary stands out for her gentle, affectionate nature. She will nestle into your lap, purring softly, easily losing herself in pets and attention. There’s a quiet sturdiness about her—she craves comfort yet enjoys stretching out outdoors, chasing sunbeams, and exploring just as much as curling up inside with you when it rains. She’s independent but thrives on connection, making a space feel warm and loved. It’s tough to see her searching again for the safety and love she thought she’d found for good. Mary is looking for someone who understands that quiet loss and is willing to give her the safety, comfort, and second chance she needs. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
