About Shirley
Shirley's story started in the worst way. She and her sister Laverne were abandoned in the middle of nowhere, tossed away with trash and discarded furniture. Severely matted, terrified, and so thin every bone showed, Shirley never lost her need for love. Since coming into rescue, she’s transformed. She’s learned how to walk on a leash, explore safely, and trust again. Shirley thrives on affection and loves to cuddle, always seeking to be near her people. She does well in her crate, is mostly house trained, and responds quickly to training, especially when food is involved. Toys bring her genuine joy—she lights up with the little pleasures she never had before. Shirley is comfortable around submissive dogs and enjoys calm companionship. After surviving neglect, she is ready for someone willing to be patient, kind, and offer the lasting love she’s always deserved. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
