About Milo
Milo is a 2-year-old neutered male Domestic Shorthair who arrived in the shelter after developing severe self-inflicted wounds on his tail. He recently required a partial tail amputation due to exposed bone, but surgery was successful and Milo is now recovering well. He’s still on pain medication and needs monitoring of his surgical site; using an e-collar is recommended when he can’t be directly supervised, at least until he’s healed. Throughout this ordeal, Milo has coped with a significant amount of stress, sometimes acting defensive when his most painful areas were handled. Given time to decompress, though, he’s shown a gentle, calm nature. He now allows petting and handling without issue and responds well to slow, consistent introductions. Milo seems curious and aware, often lounging calmly but attentive when people approach. He’ll do best in a low-stress environment where he can recover fully and settle in at his own pace. Fun fact: Milo’s birthday is April 7, making him an Aries—bold, independent, and resilient by nature. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
