About Lena Lou
Lena Lou, a small terrier mix around three years old, has weathered a lot already. She was found wandering Atlantaās streets and rescued just as tornadoes hit. Despite her tough experiences, Lena Lou is smart, observant, and much stronger than her size suggests. Sheās fully house trained and does well on a leash. Lena has made herself part of a household with other dogs and a couple of cats. She respects most of her foster siblingsāthough occasionally she needs gentle reminders, especially with cats and a few dogs. Her eagerness to learn is clear and sheās making steady progress day to day. When strangers visit, Lena Lou is still very shy and will often hide at first. Patience is key. But once sheās comfortable, she opens upāshe enjoys being held, shares kisses, and her big bat ears are always alert. Sheās getting braver with walks and car rides, and responds better each week when called. At night, her crate is a comfort for her, but she gets anxious if crated during the day. Sheād do best in a home where someone can be with her most of the time or can help her gradually adjust to being alone. Lena Lou isnāt the type to rush into thingsāshe needs a patient, gentle adopter who is willing to let her move at her own pace. If youāre ready to invest the time and care she deserves, Lena Lou is sure to reward you with loyalty and affection. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
