Tamale is a sweet, sensitive girl who is learning that the world can be a safe and happy place. She can be shy in new situations — especially around men — but with patience, kindness, and a little reassurance, her loving personality starts to shine through. She is currently working with a trainer on socialization and confidence building, and she’s making wonderful progress. Once Tamale trusts you, she absolutely adores her caregivers and looks to them for comfort, cuddles, and security. She has done well meeting other dogs and would likely thrive in a home with a calm, confident canine companion who can help show her the ropes and be her buddy. One thing Tamale is always confident about? Snacks. This girl is highly food motivated and lives for enrichment toys, puzzle games, and treat activities. She’s also learning leash skills and walks nicely in a harness with very little pulling, making her an easy walking companion. Tamale is looking for a patient, understanding home that will continue helping her build confidence while giving her the love she deserves.
