On this Memorial Day, we present Casper one of our newest and very incredible dogs. Casper is a white shepherd (possibly pure but owners did not have papers) and he is 5 1/2years - 66 pounds. Sadly after spending over 5k in specialized training, his owner went thru a divorce and had to surrender due to not having enough time to give him the attention he needs while working two jobs. His stats are INCREDIBLE! - Good with cats, dogs, recommended for older children 6+ due to energy levels - Has had professional training - Knows most commands (sit, stay, come, leave it, roll over, shake, speak ) - Crate trained and house trained - Previous owners had owned him since he was 6 months old so no known trauma - Likes car rides - Fully vetted and healthy - Very active so must have a lot of stimulation in new home and fenced yard is def preferred. Loves dog companion that can match his energy too We have tried lots of things with him here and he is EXTREMELY intelligent. We opened the front door and let him off the leash. He will stay and will not attempt to run out. He will not retrieve food or treats off of the floor until he is told to do so. He could potentially work well for a canine police team and higher level situations since his training is truly remarkable and rare in rescue. Serious adopters only please.
