Tracker
AvailableTracker is a tricolor (brown, black, and white) Beagle in Toledo, OH. He is an adult neutered male, house trained, medium in size, and up to date on vaccinations. Tracker is known for his affectionate, playful personality and, despite a past injury, is full of energy and zest for life.
About Tracker
Tracker is a compact bundle of energy with a heart as big as his velvety, floppy ears. At around 3.5 years old, he still feels like a bouncy puppy, always ready for a game of chase or a good snuggle session. Recently, his start in life was rocky—a car accident left him with pelvic and leg injuries, but after surgery and lots of rehab, he's back on his feet, though you'll notice a cute little hop when he sprints. He stretches daily to keep limber and doesn’t let any of this slow his spirit. Tracker lights up around people and dogs, greeting friends with wags and kisses. He thrives on affection and will share the couch for TV time, nuzzling in like a pro cuddler. At night, he sleeps peacefully in his crate and is solidly house trained. Car rides are his jam, and he’s excellent with other friendly dogs. Chew toys make him happy (just not if they’re filled with peanut butter or cheese), and he's working on his commands and leash manners. He isn’t much of a barker; he prefers being a social, happy-go-lucky companion. If you have small pets, Tracker’s strong prey drive means it's best to keep him apart—those rabbits and pocket pets stir up his inner hunter. A secure, fenced yard is a must, since he can be a bit of an escape artist if left loose. He does have some nerves around cars after his past experience, so sidewalks with heavy traffic aren’t ideal for him yet. He might be okay with a cat, though he’s only had a brief, neutral encounter so far. While he’s still mastering a few basic skills and needs a safe space when alone, he makes up for it in sheer joy, love, and loyalty. Tracker could be in any of the six Midwest Beagle Rescue volunteer states, so check his current location when applying.
