About Spud

Spud is under a year old and already has a lifetime of stories. She started out fending for herself on the streets and has bounced through a handful of foster homes and placements. Each transition has helped her grow, but it’s been a tough start. Spud spent her first weeks indoors hiding in her favorite nook, braving quick trips out only to eat after dark. As she gained more space and time, something shifted. She began to peek out, test out her voice, play with toys, and, gradually, trust the humans around her. After a month she blossomed. Spud turned curious and affectionate, eager for attention and snuggles. A little more time brought out her playful side; now she asks for freedom, romps with other kittens, and genuinely enjoys her house-cat life. She’s still comforted by hiding places like beds, boxes, or tunnels—when she’s startled, she likes to have somewhere safe to regroup. She gets along well with other kittens and has handled a gentle, calm dog in her foster home. Spud will do best in a home with a friendly buddy and patient humans who respect her pace—she rewards kindness tenfold. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
