About Poppy
Poppy is a 60-lb Boxer/Pit mix who has truly mastered the art of loving her people. With her soulful eyes, playful spins, and love of cozy routines, she’s impossible to forget. She’s all about the soft life: long naps, gentle snacks (fruits, veggies, kibble—she’s not picky), and casually claiming your couch and bed as her own. Her inner tornado comes out for her signature spin when she’s happy, but most of the time she’s content to be a chill, quiet roommate. She welcomes kids and dog friends who know how to be polite—she’s got boundaries and expects respectful introductions. While she’s housebroken, crate trained, and a model citizen at both the vet and groomer, she’s not built for apartment living. Poppy has a voice, especially when things feel new or she’s left alone, and will need a home where she can fully settle in. She can be sensitive to strange environments and storms, but once she feels safe, she’ll melt right into you—loyal, loving, and endlessly snuggly. She’s not destructive, nor chaotic, just searching for someone who wants to love big and live soft. Her only big “no”—cats aren’t her thing. If you’ve got a heart ready to be claimed, a house to share, and a spot reserved for a sensitive, endlessly sweet dog, Poppy could be your soulmate. Ready to fall in love?
