About Lacy
Lacy is a one-year-old Airedale Terrier and Collie mix with a scruffy coat and a bright, curious personality that shines through her signature grin. Weighing in around 45 pounds, she’s playful and smart—quick to master new things like the dog door and reliably shows up for mealtime. Fetch and tug are her favorite games, but she also wins people over with her gentle, sweet greetings, like a shy hand lick after working up the nerve. House trained, quiet in the car, good on leash, and crate-trained, Lacy is really checking a lot of boxes. She’s eager to please and responds well to treats, so further training will be a breeze. Despite her gentle nature, she can be timid when meeting new people but has already begun to show she’ll come around with patience and kindness. Lacy does great with dogs of all sizes and, judging by her calm curiosity toward squirrels, she’d probably get along with cats too. She needs a patient family who understands shy dogs, and because she’s proven herself adept at climbing four-foot fences, a six-foot fence or leash walks are non-negotiable. She’d thrive with a playful canine companion, plenty of space to explore, and people willing to help her bloom at her own pace. She’s smiling already—something tells us her best days are just ahead.
