When she was found, Evelina was little more than a fragile shadow, her fur knotted, her body frail, unmoving as if the world had simply passed her by. The weight in her eyes spoke louder than any plea. Only after Evelina was safe did it become clear that her silence owed to total deafness. She had managed to survive, somehow sensing the dangerous world without any sound, never reacting to footsteps or voices—just enduring, alone, and alert in her own private quiet. Now that she's off those streets, Evelina leans into gentle touch, melting into affection and finally able to rest. She’s unfailingly sweet, responding to kindness and companionship with a sense of relief. For Evelina, the right home is soft and patient, with people attuned to the calm she needs.
