About Evie

Hello world! My name is Evie. I am a 16 1/2 lb, 1-year-old, Female Boston Terrier that was probably ready to be posted last week, but my foster Mom wasn't ready to let me fly the nest. See, I have blossomed immensely since I left the farm that I lived on for my first 11 months of life. I came here quiet, shy & nervous, but now I am best friends with the 9-month-old puppy that showed me the ropes on how to be a regular house pet. I learned how nice it is to sleep on soft, clean blankets in my crate, right in the human's bedroom. I love it & I sleep all night. During the day, when my foster humans leave the house, I stay in the kitchen and wait patiently. I usually take my nap then or watch the birds. I try my hardest to wait to go potty outside until they come home, but sometimes I go on the pee pad in the corner. I like my privacy when I go potty. There is a favorite bush in the yard that I go behind, because I am a little lady. They feed me treats for being a good girl & coming when called. I am afraid to take it out of their hands, but if they put it on the floor, I snatch it right up & chomp away. I have jobs too. I help them fetch the mail & walk on a leash nicely like a big girl. I also keep that puppy in line by chasing her around the yard & teaching her to share her toys. After we get our exercise, we head into the house, I get a drink, eat a little & then another job I have is to hold the sofa down. I lie on it for hours & snore away. I have lots of energy, so after my nap, I stretch & play with all the cool toys & wrestle with the puppy I am training. Chew toys are my favorite! I LOVE being held, it makes me SO happy. I get along with everyone I meet, even an older Australian Cattle Dog. She let me know I shouldn't jump & be all in her face... so I fixed her...I ignored her. Serves her right because I am a pleasure to be around. I have not met a cat yet, so I don't know if I would want to chase it or be its friend. I enjoy car rides & do not get sick. I can't wait to see where I'll live out my dream life. Evie is UTD on vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, spayed, and has been on flea/tick/heartworm prevention since coming into the rescue.
