Tragically, Blondie was even rolled under a car shortly before rescue, though somehow he walked away unharmed. Through all of it, Blondie never lost his loving spirit. He is incredibly affectionate and deeply attached to his people. He follows his foster family from room to room simply because he loves companionship and feeling close to those he trusts. He’s wonderful with children, does great with other dogs, ignores cats completely, and appears to be house trained. Blondie can be shy around strangers at first and may bark when someone unfamiliar approaches, but once he realizes he’s safe, his goofy and loving personality comes out beautifully. Because he’s experienced abandonment, Blondie does struggle with separation anxiety. He doesn’t become destructive — he simply cries because he’s afraid of being left again.
