Hi, I’m Cookie — a 5-month-old Lab/Schnauzer mix weighing around 25–30 pounds, and I’m one of five sisters rescued together after being born in January. Out of all the girls, I’m definitely the shyest one of the group — but underneath that slightly timid personality is a very sweet puppy who just wants a little reassurance sometimes. When everyone else rushes into something new, I’m usually the one hanging back for a second thinking, “Hmm… are we sure about this?” I like to take a moment to figure things out before jumping in. Sometimes I just need a little encouragement and someone telling me, “Come on, you can do it,” and once I know everything is okay, I follow right along. Even though I can be a little hesitant at first, I have a wonderful temperament and a very gentle nature. I get along great with my sisters and other dogs, and I really just want to feel safe and included. I may not be the boldest puppy in the room, but I’m incredibly lovable and will absolutely blossom with a patient, kind family that helps build my confidence. I’m still working on crate training and house training, but I do well keeping my kennel clean and I’m learning more every day. I haven’t started leash training or commands yet, but I’m smart and eager to learn at my own pace. I’m fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventatives. My foster family expects me to stay under around 60 pounds full grown.
