About Jasper A Gentle

Some dogs come into rescue just looking for a fair shot at a good life. Jasper is in that camp. Now seven, this golden hound mix spent most of his life with a world much smaller than it should’ve been—he came from a background where he lived tethered outdoors, a situation animal welfare stepped in to end. The mark of that past is literal: a scar circles his neck from the old chain, but that's not the story you'll notice when you meet him. Jasper is calm, resilient, and has a gentle steadiness about him. He’s moved into foster care and is soaking up the basics—soft beds, predictable meals, the right to just be. He takes it all in stride with a mellow, low-key energy. Jasper gets along with other dogs and has had positive, relaxed encounters with young children. He’d really benefit from a calm, predictable home with plenty of kindness (and a comfy couch). He’s waiting to bond closely with someone for the rest of his years.
