About Figgy

Figgy, affectionately nicknamed Figgy Puddin’, is a plump, lovable Terrier mix looking for a new beginning. She arrived after her previous owner could no longer care for her, spending over eight months indoors without regular walks or outdoor time. Since joining her foster family, Figgy’s determination shines—she’s lost several pounds already, runs around happily, and adores stuffed toys and all the attention you’ll give her. There’s still a little work to do: she needs to lose about 10 more pounds, so she’ll thrive with someone who can provide a consistent exercise routine, structure, and a few clear boundaries about snacks. Figgy’s reportedly dog-friendly, but she gets very excited around other dogs, so she’ll need slow, thoughtful introductions. She lived around children as young as 10 and was great with them, but could be too much for younger kids. Figgy hasn’t yet met cats during her time in rescue. She’s house trained, spayed, and her vaccinations will be up to date soon. She currently resides in Ivor, VA, but meet-and-greets are available in Virginia Beach and nearby cities. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!

  • How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?

Terrier mixes like Figgy enjoy having moderate outdoor space to roam and play. While a fenced yard is ideal, regular walks and active playtime can also meet her needs.
