About Huckleberry
Huckleberry just arrived at the rescue after being left behind in a box in an alley. He’s a happy, energetic puppy who already gets along great with the resident shop dog and is adjusting well to his foster home. His look leans toward malamute, especially with that striking one-blue, one-brown eye, but when it comes to personality, you’ll see plenty of hound in him—curious, busy, easy to brighten a room. He loves attention, seeks out affection, and gravitates to his person. Confident but young, Huckleberry will do well with someone who feels comfortable teaching a strong, clever puppy. He travels easily and seems comfortable in the car. Right now, he’s still learning the basics at his young age, but with the right guidance, he’ll become a true companion. He’s mostly at the Shingletown rescue during the day if you want to swing by, but calling ahead helps ensure you catch him. Since his birthday is February 23, Huckleberry is a Pisces—likely to be empathetic and loyal as he grows. Click apply to start the adoption process.
