About Garfield

Garfield is a beautiful 11-month-old boy with a silky cream-and-white coat, captivating amber eyes, and a calm, thoughtful personality. He was rescued from outside several weeks ago and is still continuing to settle into domestic life while showing more of his personality each day. Garfield is an affectionate but independent young cat who enjoys companionship on his own terms. He forms deep bonds gradually and tends to express affection quietly โ€” lounging nearby, following his favorite person from room to room, relaxing beside you on the couch or bed, and occasionally stopping in for cuddles when he feels comfortable. He has a medium energy level and enjoys interactive play, playful jumps, exploring, and long cozy naps. Garfield also has an adorable talkative side and sometimes likes having little โ€œconversationsโ€ with his people. Garfield currently spends time indoors and outdoors in a very safe environment and clearly enjoys having access to outdoor exploration. Because of this, I believe he would do best in a quiet adult home with a secure outdoor space, safe yard, catio, or supervised outdoor access where he can continue enjoying fresh air and freedom safely. He gets along with other cats but is very self-sufficient and may be happiest as the only cat in the home. Garfield has not yet been introduced to dogs or children. Garfield would thrive with calm, patient adults who appreciate independent companion cats and understand that trust and affection develop naturally over time. He is not a demanding lap cat, but rather a gentle, loyal presence who enjoys being close to his people in his own quiet way. Garfield is neutered, fully vaccinated, healthy, and perfectly litter box trained.
